Positive Outcomes for Youth - Be a Part of the Solution
It has been a dream of mine since childhood to help children in need. I have worked diligently over the years to make this dream a reality. DreamMe.org has been approved by the state of California to do just that! DreamMe.org believes all children deserve the chance for a bright future. We have several goals and three distinct groups we are focused on; Children, Biological Parents, Foster Parents and or Group Homes. It is our belief that supporting the families ultimately supports the child for a much brighter future. How can you help? You can help financially or by donating much needed items and or services to our program. There are several ways for you to make a difference in the life of a child. Nia Stefany
Founder
Nia Stefany, founder of DreamME, is deeply passionate about fostering dreams, particularly within the foster care sector. As a devoted mother of three boys, entrepreneur, lawyer, and founder of Xnergy Financial, she brings a wealth of experience and dedication to her charitable endeavors. Her teaching of an introduction to Law class at John McDonough High School revealed her remarkable ability to recognize potential where others may overlook it. Through her care, she empowered students, often from underprivileged backgrounds, to aim high and break through barriers. Ultimately reshaping their trajectories towards successful futures. Nia Stefany’s commitment to empowering youth exemplifies the core mission of Dream Me, ensuring that every child has the opportunity to reach for the stars and achieve their dreams.
Ilissa Moregon
Director
Ilissa is an impassioned and committed professional dedicated to enriching the lives of underserved children. Prior to assuming the role of Director at DreamME, she honed her skills as an adept production manager and strategist, renowned for her ability to conceive and implement live and virtual national events for esteemed Fortune 500 companies, non-profits, and fundraising initiatives. Thriving on challenges, her forte lies in spearheading start-up projects and transforming them into triumphs.
Meagan Schmidt
Development Director
Meagan Schmidt brings a wealth of experience in nonprofit management, fundraising, operations, and development. Her expertise lies in managing government grants, forming public-private partnerships, and optimizing service delivery for future growth. She is committed to promoting equity, advocacy, and community engagement aligning with DreamME’s mission to serve youth. Meagan also manages our Intern Program, is a member of the Board of Directors of Travelers Aid Society of San Diego, and serves on the Program Committee of North County Philanthropy Council

San Diego Mesa College
We are excited to introduce our wonderful partner, San Diego Mesa College. This esteemed institution has generously provided space for our DreamME workshops, where we offer a wide range of opportunities and support to underprivileged and fostered youth. Through the collaboration with San Diego Mesa College, we are able to offer workshops on entrepreneurship, technology, fitness and health, writing, and our unique “Speaking Out” workshop, which focuses on therapy-based activities. We believe that these workshops not only provide valuable knowledge but also help these young individuals navigate their transition into adulthood with more ease. We are truly grateful for the partnership with San Diego Mesa College and their commitment to empowering the youth in our community.

Leticia Diaz, the Dean of San Diego Mesa College is a valued member of Dream ME’s Board of Directors. Leticia’s passion for creating positive change in her community is truly inspiring. In her role overseeing San Diego Mesa’s FAST Scholars Program, she has been instrumental in providing vital support to youth in need. The FAST Scholars program offers a range of services including academic, personal, and career counseling, financial aid support, transportation assistance, food assistance, specialized workshops, and access to school supplies. Leticia’s dedication and collaboration have opened doors for DreamME to further reach and connect with San Diego’s underprivileged youth, enabling us to provide the aid and support they need to thrive. We are immensely grateful for her partnership and the profound impact she has made on the lives of the youth we serve.
